Relief for many property and business owners within Dunheved Business Park with the recent announcement that the revised Outer Sydney Orbital (OSO) corridor will no longer include a rail freight loop through Dunheved Industrial Precinct.
After recent community and stakeholder engagement, in addition with further technical investigations, it was concluded the freight loop was no longer a necessity and will be removed from the corridor. The proposed freight loop encroached on over 50 properties on Christie Street, Forrester Road, Dunheved Circuit and Links Road (shaded dark blue in above), with the overwhelming majority likely to have been compulsory acquired in the coming years.
Previous community consultation has also lead to a minor amendment to OSO motorway corridor. The OSO (sky blue outline in above) corridor will now run through the flood zone area to west of Dunheved Industrial Precinct, ensuring very minimal disruption and negative impact to the precinct.
